The Fairbanks Daily Newsminer has published a very nice piece about the dancers in this year’s Nutcracker.
The Nutcracker plays December 6 (8 pm), 7 (2 pm and 8 pm), and 8 (2 pm) at Hering Auditorium. Tickets are available at the theater one hour before show time, at Enchanted Forest Toys (across from Gullivers) and at the Bently Mall Safeway.

The Fairbanks Concert Association has generously offered to provide one free ticket with one purchased ticket when purchased by a student of the North Star Ballet. The Performance is at Hering Auditorium Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 7:00pm. FCA will have a list of NSB students at the box office.
Youth tickets are $13, Adult tickets are $28.
Quixotic Fusion is a collaborative ensemble of artists from various disciplines — dance, film, aerial arts, music, and fashion. This inventive group of artists goes beyond the limits of any specific art form, challenging traditional perceptions and creating a total sensory experience unlike any other for its audience.
The Fairgrounds will be taking down a large tree Tuesday, October 8 . They have asked that we park across the bridge from where we usually park.
To get there:
1. enter the Fairgrounds through the Blue Gate (at the east end of the Fairgrounds)
2. turn left past the Borealis Building (the big blue building)
3. Drive to the bridge that crosses to the North Star Ballet building
4. Park in the area of the 4 colorful, permanent food booths next to the bridge
5. Cross the bridge to the studio
The North Star Ballet is selling See’s Candies. The proceeds from this fundraiser are used to support production of The Nutcracker (December 6, 7, and 8 at Hering Auditorium). This year we are selling: Nuts & Chews, Assorted Chocolates, Milk Chocolates, Dark Chocolates, and Toffee-ettes all in one pound boxes and Peanut Brittle in a 1.5 pound box. The price for each is $18 and all will come gift-wrapped for the holidays.
